There are three things I want from this class. One is practice.
The more opportunities I get to design, the better I get at using the software
tools and the better I get at creative problem solving. The second is to hone
in on the epistemic nature of being a designer. We are constantly thinking
about the relationship between the audience and the message we want to convey.
How do I learn to better find that solution? In this, one obstacle will almost
always be, having to “fix” your ideas, which leads me to my third want;
learning how to deal with “editing” yourself without taking it personally.
Besides what I've voiced already in the above paragraph, there isn’t a concern I can think of at the moment. As of
now, I believe in this, I will not know what I am fully capable of until I am in a
position where I must make decisions. I’m not afraid of that idea; I have
confidence in my base education and skills to this point. The thing I can do help myself
now as a designer, is to practice design.
